The Irish government has recently announced that it will contribute €23.5 million to the Irish Manufacturing Research Centre as part of its new Industry 4.0 Strategy. Support will be provided to upskill the manufacturing workforce.

There’s a previous Study on digitalisation of the manufacturing sector and the policy implications for Ireland (pdf) available, written by University of Cambridge, exploring the opportunities in product/service, process and supply chain innovation.
